Sponsored by the Derek Rieth Foundation and the Portland Happiness Center, Batucada PDX presents an evening of music and dance at the Crush Bar, celebrating the 193rd Anniversary of the declaration of Brazil's independence from Portugal by Prince Pedro on the banks of the Ipiranga River.

The evening will include samba dance lessons, the Rio-style samba grooves of Portland's Bloco Alegria and the irresistible sounds of DJ Digo, not to mention the friendly vibes and great food and drink of the Crush Bar.
